Aursee
Terms
What Aursee is
Aursee shows fire detected by satellites (VIIRS, 375 m), about three hours behind each pass. Cloud, smoke and the gaps between passes mean some fires are missed and some detections are not wildfires.
Aursee is not for evacuation or life-safety decisions. Follow your local fire service. The data and alerts are provided as they are, without a promise that they are complete, current or error-free.
Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. Keep access to that address to yourself. We may close an account that abuses the service or other people.
Aursee Pro
Pro costs €2.99 a month or €29.99 a year, VAT included, and renews automatically until you cancel. Payments are processed by Stripe.
You can cancel at any time from Manage billing on the Pro page. Pro stays on until the end of the period you paid for; there are no refunds for part of a period.
If you cancel within 14 days of first subscribing, write to us and we refund the full payment.
If the price changes, we tell subscribers by email at least 30 days before it applies; it applies from the next renewal.
The free account keeps 3 watched places, always.
What you send us
Photos and beach reports you send must be yours to share. By sending them you let us publish them on Aursee. Everything is reviewed before it appears, and we may decline or remove it.
Using the site
Do not overload the service, scrape it at volume, resell its data feeds or get around its limits without our agreement.
Reusing our figures
The fire history and statistics published on Aursee's pages are available under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 licence (CC BY 4.0, creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0): you may reuse them, including commercially, if you credit Aursee and link to the page they come from. This does not extend to copying the live feed in bulk (see above). The detections underneath come from NASA FIRMS (VIIRS 375 m), which NASA distributes without restriction.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from decisions based on Aursee's data or alerts. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law as a consumer.

These terms are governed by the law of Ireland. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protections of the law of your country.

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and subscribers hear by email about changes that affect Pro.
